Repair and installation of the trim work that protects your roofline from water, ice dams, and pests.
Soffit and fascia don't get much attention until they fail — and by then water is usually already in the attic. The soffit is the panel under your roof overhang; the fascia is the trim board behind your gutters. Together they close off the roofline. When either one rots or pulls away, water and pests find their way into the attic, the wall cavity, and the rafter tails behind them.
We repair and install both across Madison and South-Central Wisconsin. Because we also work on chimneys and roofing, we treat the soffit-and-fascia line as part of the larger roof assembly — not just trim. That means we look for the underlying cause (gutter overflow, ice damming, attic ventilation) and recommend the fix that actually lasts.
For existing homes with localized damage, we offer targeted repairs rather than pushing a full replacement when it isn't warranted. We match new soffit and fascia to your existing trim so the repair blends into the rest of the roofline.
We live and work in South-Central Wisconsin — our reputation is built one roofline at a time. That means we're accountable to you long after the job is done, and a phone call away if anything ever needs a second look.
Soffit and fascia work sits at the seam between the roof and the wall — exactly where most water and pest problems start. Our chimney and roofing background means we understand the whole assembly, not just the visible trim.
If rot, storm damage, or pest entry has affected a section of soffit or fascia, we repair what's failed and match the new material to your existing trim — saving you the cost of replacing the entire roofline.
Failed soffit and fascia is almost always a symptom of something else — clogged gutters, ice dams, or attic-ventilation issues. We document the root cause and recommend the right fix so the new trim actually lasts.
We protect your landscaping, clean up daily, and leave your property in better shape than we found it.
Most soffit and fascia jobs complete in 1–3 days depending on scope. We coordinate around your schedule and keep you informed at every step.
Local weather can be hard on exterior masonry and roofing. Here are the issues we encounter most often — and exactly what we do about them.
The soffit — the underside of the roof overhang — takes a constant beating from gutter overflow and ice dams. Wood soffit rots, vinyl warps, and either failure mode opens a path for water and pests into the attic and wall cavity.
Our fix: We tear off the failed soffit, address any underlying damage to the rafter tails, and install new aluminum or vented soffit. Vented soffit also restores the intake-airflow side of attic ventilation, which protects the roof above it.
Fascia — the vertical trim board behind the gutters — fails when gutters back up and saturate the wood, when ice dams force water behind it, or when fastener pull-out lets sections sag. Once fascia rots, gutters lose their attachment point and the whole roofline is at risk.
Our fix: We remove the failed fascia, evaluate the rafter tails behind it, and install new fascia matched to your trim. Where gutter behavior caused the failure, we flag the gutter problem so you can address both at once.
Squirrels, raccoons, bats, and birds find gaps in deteriorated soffit and fascia and use them to enter the attic. Once they're in, the damage to insulation, wiring, and structural wood compounds quickly.
Our fix: We close every gap with new soffit and fascia panels installed tight to the framing, replace any damaged sheathing or trim behind them, and add metal flashing at vulnerable transitions where rodents tend to chew.
Hail, falling branches, and high-wind debris dent and tear soffit and fascia, exposing the rafter tails and attic to water on the next rain. Insurance often covers this damage — but only when it's documented properly.
Our fix: We photograph and document all damage, help you file your insurance claim with a detailed scope of work, and install replacement panels that match your existing trim in profile and color.
