How we handle the information you share with us through this website. We’ve written it in plain English on purpose.

Chimneys Plus Roofing & Exteriors(“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates this website at chimneyspluswi.com to share information about our chimney, roofing, and exterior services and to let homeowners request a free estimate. This policy explains what we collect from you, why, and what we do with it.
The only personal information we collect is what you provide directly through our contact form on the Contact page:
The website itself does not require you to create an account, store cookies of our own, or track your activity across other sites. Basic technical information (such as your IP address and browser type) is logged by our hosting infrastructure as a standard part of serving any website.
We use the information you submit for one purpose only:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not add you to a marketing list, newsletter, or text-message campaign. We do not share your information with anyone for any commercial purpose. If you don’t hire us, your information is not used for anything beyond the original inquiry.
A small number of trusted service providers help us run this website and deliver your messages to us. They are bound by their own terms of service not to use your information for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
If we add additional services in the future (for example, website analytics), we’ll update this policy to describe them.
We keep your contact-form submission for as long as we need it to respond to your inquiry and complete any work that results from it. If we never hear back from you and no project begins, we generally delete the submission within ninety (90) days. If we do work for you, we keep relevant project records for as long as needed for warranty, accounting, and tax purposes — typically seven (7) years — and then dispose of them securely.
You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you at any time, for any reason. Just email us at chimneyspluswisco@gmail.com with the subject line “Delete my information” and we’ll confirm the deletion within a reasonable time. We can’t delete records we’re required to keep by law (for example, accounting records related to completed work), but we’ll tell you which records those are if it comes up.
This website is intended for homeowners and adults seeking contractor services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of thirteen (13). If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
We use reasonable measures to protect the information submitted to us — encrypted connections (HTTPS), reputable third-party providers, and limited access on our end. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorized access.
In the event of a data breach affecting Wisconsin residents, we will provide notification consistent with Wisconsin’s breach notification statute (Wis. Stat. § 134.98). If you are a resident of another state with its own breach notification requirements, we will provide notification consistent with those laws as well.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, draw attention to the change on the homepage or in a follow-up email if we have one for you.
